Types of Safari Accommodation
Understanding your options helps us match the right safari accommodation to your budget and travel style. Park entry fees and permit rules are set by each country’s wildlife authority — Uganda’s are published by the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
Safari Lodges
Permanent buildings in local stone and timber. Solid walls, en-suite bathrooms, and often a pool, spa and restaurant. The most comfortable option, and the easiest on families and light sleepers.
Tented Camps
Permanent canvas suites on raised decks. Real beds, hot showers and flush toilets, with the sounds of the bush right outside. The classic safari experience without giving up comfort.
Mobile Camps
Seasonal camps that move with the wildlife. Small, remote and exclusive, set up close to the migration or in areas with no permanent lodges. The most adventurous choice.
