Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is a Maasai village-inspired lodge of thatched stone rondavels, set on an elevated spot among acacia trees in the Kyabatero Hills, north-west of Seronera in the Serengeti National Park. The lodge is not fenced, so game moves through the grounds.
It is a friendly, hotel-style base with a pool that looks out over the plains, a buffet restaurant and a bar and lounge. It is a popular family choice and a practical base for exploring the central Serengeti.

Birdwatching is popular, and the hillside setting among acacias makes the lodge itself a pleasant place to watch.
Access & location
The lodge is in the central Serengeti, north-west of Seronera, and the Seronera airstrip is about 27 kilometres away. We arrange your flights or road transfers and can combine it with Ngorongoro or Tarangire.

The two-tier restaurant has indoor and outdoor dining, and the pool has a view over the plains and a lifeguard on duty. Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge. Massages cost extra, and the lodge has cots, high chairs and babysitting for families. The lodge can be busy with tour groups.

Rooms are in two-storey thatched stone rondavels, with twin or double beds, a stone bathroom with a shower, a fan, a safe, tea and coffee and a balcony. There are triple rooms, interconnecting family rondavels, accessible rooms and one suite. The rooms are comfortable rather than fancy. We confirm the room mix for your dates when we quote.
