Baraza Resort & Spa is on Bwejuu Beach, on the south-east side of Zanzibar, next to its sister hotels. Villas in the style of a sultan’s palace, with Arabic, Indian and Swahili influences, sit in tended gardens that lead to a long white-sand beach.
All villas have a private plunge pool, and the resort adds a spa, a children’s club and a choice of restaurants and activities. It suits couples, honeymooners and families who want a relaxed beach stay after a safari.

Dhow trips, mangrove trips and dolphin boat trips can be arranged, and reef walks are popular at low tide.
Island tours
Stone Town, spice tours, Jozani Forest and visits to Bwejuu village can all be added.
Evening entertainment
Swahili dancers and a resident Taarab band perform at the resort.
Access & location
The resort is about an hour’s drive from Zanzibar Airport, and Stone Town is a short trip away. We arrange your transfers and combine Zanzibar with a safari on the mainland.
