Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is inside Lake Nakuru National Park, on a plateau along Lion Hill with landscaped gardens and views over the lake and the park. Sixty-seven chalets sit among tall acacia trees, linked by raised wooden walkways.
Lake Nakuru is known for its birdlife, flamingos in season and rhinos, and the lodge is a comfortable base for a night or two, with a pool, a restaurant and evening dance performances.

Lake Nakuru National Park is small enough to cover well in a day or two.
Game drives
Game drives in the park look for white rhino, lion, leopard, zebra, giraffe, eland, gazelle and colobus monkeys, and self-drive is also possible on the park roads.
Birdwatching and flamingos
The soda lakes are famous for birds, and there can be thousands of flamingos on the lake in season.
Evening entertainment
The Rift Valley Bar has an amphitheatre where traditional dance and local guitarists perform in the evening.

The lodge is inside Lake Nakuru National Park, reached by road from Nairobi. We arrange your transfers and often pair Nakuru with the Maasai Mara or Amboseli.

The Flamingo Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, with buffet meals and bush meals on request. The Rift Valley Bar leads to the amphitheatre, there is a pool with loungers, and a curio shop and laundry. Sources differ on Wi-Fi and spa services, so please ask us if they matter to you.

Chalets are on the ground floor and linked by raised walkways, with an en-suite bathroom, mosquito nets, double or twin beds and a private patio. A few interconnect for families. There are three suites with fireplaces, including the two-bedroom Ziwa Suite with an open-air fire pit. Lake views vary by chalet, so we confirm the options for your dates when we quote.
