Why Visit Kidepo Valley
Kidepo's remoteness is precisely its appeal. Very few visitors make it this far north, so game drives feel genuinely wild, and the mountain scenery — the park straddles the Uganda-South Sudan-Kenya border region — is unlike anywhere else in the country.
Planning Your Visit
Given the distance from Kampala (roughly 10-11 hours by road), most visitors fly in via scheduled light aircraft. Two to three nights is typical, allowing time for both the Narus and Kidepo valleys.
