Detailed itinerary of 5 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking, Gorilla Habituation and Wildlife Safari 

Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide. After briefing you about your safari, embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with stopover in Kayabwe at the Equator crossing for pictures and in Mbarara for lunch.

Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park passing through the beautiful rolling hills of Kisoro which are referred to as the Switzerland of Africa. Arrive in the park in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide and head the park for gorilla trekking with your packed lunch. Join other trekkers at the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking and the right way to behave while in the presence of gorillas, in groups of 8 people, you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek. With an armed ranger guide, you will head into the forests of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas, the trek takes approximately 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent the previous night.

When you locate these gentle giants, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence watching them go on with their life in the forest, take amazing pictures, watch them as they go on with their life in the forests as they feed, groom each other and play. After this precious hour with the gorillas, trek back to the park headquarters to collect your trekking certificates, meet your guide and head back to your lodge where you will spend the rest of the day at rest.

Day 3: Gorilla Habituation experience in Bwindi Forest  

After breakfast, you will head back to the park this time for a gorilla habituation experience. After briefing, you will be grouped into 4 people, head into the forests looking for a semi-habituated gorilla family together with scientists and researchers.

You will take part in collecting samples about the gorillas, take park in naming them among others. After this full day experience, you will head back to your lodge for freshening up and rest. Later, you will checkout and embark on a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving late in the afternoon, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Morning game drive and boat cruise  

Enjoy breakfast, and head to the park for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains enjoying sights of animals including waterbucks, impalas, lions, antelopes, warthogs, elephants, buffaloes, and many birds. Later you will return to the lodge for lunch and short rest.

Later in the afternoon, you will head to Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise on which you will watch many water animals such as hippos and crocodiles in the waters and herds of elephants and buffaloes along the banks of the channel and many birds. Later on, you will head straight to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: morning game drive and Return to Kampala /Entebbe Airport

Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park for a morning game drive exploring areas of the park you did not explore on the previous game drives. Then exit, and embark on a journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch.

You will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home or at your hotel in Entebbe.
