Detailed itinerary of 3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Drive Time: 7-9 Hours Drive. Flight Option available

On this 1^st day of your 3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, he will brief you about the safari and then embark on 7-9 hours’ drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On this scenic drive, you will have a number of stops to stretch and at the Equator crossing for a photo moment and have an Equator water experience, and in Mbarara for lunch.

Continue to Bwindi with a drive through stunning landscape with huge plantation. Once in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will be welcomed by mist forests, proceed to check in at the lodge, and spend the rest of the evening at leisure relaxing and getting acquainted with your surroundings. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Optional Batwa Pygmy Cultural Tour

On this 2^nd day of your 3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari, you shall wake up early to a sumptuous breakfast and then proceed for a transfer to the park headquarters for briefing session. A senior ranger guide will take you through rules and regulations to follow during the trek, in groups of 8 people you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek. After you shall embark on a search of the endangered mountain gorillas on a gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park adventure in company of a park ranger and guides.

Once you locate the gorillas, you shall spend one hour with the gorillas observing their characters and behaviors which are similar to humans. Take as many photos as you can, make videos as well as take time to just experience the moments without the lenses. Watch the gorillas play, groom each other and feed. After this incredible primate experience, you shall trek back, and then return to lodge. In the afternoon, you can choose to spend it relaxing at the lodge or go for a Batwa Pygmy Cultural Experience to learn about these former inhabitants of the park. Dinner and overnight as above.

Day 3: Departure

Drive Time: 7-9 Hours’ Drive. Flight Option available

On this last day of your 3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari, you shall wake up to an early breakfast at the lodge. Later check out and embark on a journey back to Entebbe, where your driver guide shall transfer you to the airport for your departure flight, or hotel in Entebbe. On your way, you will have en-route lunch in Mbarara. The dropoff at the airport will mark the end of your Uganda gorilla trekking safari.
