Terms of Service

1. Bookings & Payment

A booking is confirmed once a deposit is received and acknowledged in writing by Detlef Safaris. The balance is due prior to the start of travel, as agreed at the time of booking.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation terms, including any applicable fees or refund timelines, will be communicated in writing for each booking and depend on how far in advance a cancellation is made.

3. Travel Documents & Health Requirements

Guests are responsible for ensuring they hold valid passports, visas, and any required vaccinations or health documentation for their destination countries.

4. Liability

Detlef Safaris works with reputable local partners and takes reasonable care in arranging services. Travel to remote and wilderness areas carries inherent risk, and guests participate in activities such as trekking and game drives at their own risk.

5. Force Majeure

Detlef Safaris is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including weather, park closures, political events, or other unforeseen circumstances.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda.
