Detailed itinerary of 6 Days Uganda Gorillas, Chimpanzee Habituation & Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park  

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and embark on a journey to Kibale Forest National Park – Africa’s Primate Capital. Along the journey you will enjoy scenic views of Uganda’s country side and have a stop at the Equator Crossing. Continue to Kibale Forest with lunch in Fort Portal, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimp Habituation Experience

Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee habituation experience, a ranger will take you through rules and regulations to follow while in the presence these playful primates. With scientists and rangers, head into the forest looking for chimpanzees, this experience is a full day activity spent following the chimpanzees, learn how the whole Chimpanzee Habituation Experience works and identify different traits of the chimpanzees.

After this amazing experience, you will head to your lodge for lunch and later checkout and embark on a 1 hour’s drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Game-Drive and Boat-Cruise In Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up for breakfast and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a full day of adventure. Have a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of the park popular for hosting a huge population of wildlife including lions, leopards, elephants, Uganda kobs, buffaloes among others which you will see during the game drive. Return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, go for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel – one of the highlight attractions of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This channel connects Lake Edward to Lake George and hosts a huge population of hippos, as you cruise you will see various marine wildlife including hippos, crocodiles and various water birds including herons, crested crane among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: Game Drive and Transfer To Bwindi

Enjoy breakfast, checkout of your lodge and embark on a Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with an en-route game drive in Ishasha Sector where you will get a chance to see the tree climbing lions resting on the fig trees. Continue to transfer to Bwindi with lunch en-route, arriving in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day at rest.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Day- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Have an early breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking. Enter into the forests of Bwindi in groups of 8 people looking for mountain gorillas, the trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas including one hour of being in their presence. Watch them groom each other, feed and play. Return to the park headquarters to pick your gorilla permits and to your lodge for an evening of rest.

Alternatively, you can go for a cultural visit to the Batwa Village.

Day 6: Transfer To Kampala/Entebbe
